Now that all of the presents have been unwrapped and put away, it’s time to start thinking about the New Year. Things are typically a bit slower around the office this time of year, so now is a great time to clean up your PC.

Here are some tips to get you started:

Clean-Up Outlook/Inbox: This article from Business Management Daily provides 5 great tips.

Run Defrag: If you constantly download files, copy lots of files and move them, delete frequently or install and uninstall programs, now is a good time to schedule defrag to run on a daily or weekly basis.

If you typically email and browse with occasional downloading, then it’s probably a good idea to run defrag monthly or quarterly in the coming year.

Run CCleaner: Richard wrote a great blog about using this simple ‘clean up tool’ that repairs errors in your computer system as well as cleans up unwanted items such as cookies and temporary files.

Cheers to a clean New Year!
