So mundane, yet so important
Did you know that about one-third of all computer updates are to fix security issues? Foundational for a secure environment, it is important to apply updates – or “patches” – to your servers and workstations on a regular basis. This important part of your maintenance is scheduled in a way to create the least amount of imposition on your productivity.
- Servers: We set a standard monthly maintenance window for each client (i.e., 1:00 am on the third Thursday). We apply and test the patches to make sure everything is running as expected.
- Workstations: We work with each client to put an update policy – along with automated pushes – in place.
