The Georgia Society of CPAs hosted their 20th anniversary SEAS conference last week at the Cobb Galleria. We don’t have any historical perspective, since we were exhibiting at SEAS for the first time in our 12-year history, but we certainly enjoyed the show.
Reflecting the importance of accounting firms to the future of Network 1, we had 3 people in our booth at most times: David Gracey, Founder and President, Richard Stokes, Director of Sales, and Tony Rushin, Vice President. Over the years, Network 1’s managed IT services have been a great fit with other professionals firms throughout metro Atlanta: law firms,medical practices and financial advisory/wealth management firms account for 75% of our revenue and 30 of our 53 monthly IT support clients. Because of our success with these professionals, many of them encouraged us to also focus on accounting firms. We started intentionally offering our services to accounting firms this summer (our first accounting firm client is Arnold, Gallivan, Levesque’s audit practice, led by Roger Gallivan) and we’re committed to bringing our flexible, professional, managed IT services to this market.
A big “thank you” to everyone who stopped by our booth and expressed interest in learning more about our IT services… or who simply wanted to have fun with us as we played the “guess the flavor of the lip balm” game with the winners getting thrown into a hat for the chance to win an iPad. For the 255 people who played, here is an update:
- The correct lip balm flavor was green tea – 19 people got it right (giving each of them a 5.26% chance of winning the drawing for the iPad)
- The most popular guess was eucalyptus (29 people)
- Here are the most “creative” guesses: chicken, DESIRE (my desire for an iPad! Please!!), pina colada, mint beer, fish oil and popcorn butter
- The winner was Beth Davis, owner of Beth Davis Pitt, CPA P.C. of Marietta
This may have been our first SEAS but it won’t be our last as we look to build on our happy client base by taking our Worry Free IT™ services to accounting firms – in addition to more financial advisory firms, law firms, medical practices, and SMB’s in many other industries – as we remain dedicated to growing exclusively in metro Atlanta.
