I love technology yet sometimes it can be rather annoying. One of my little annoyances with the new iOS on the iPhone happens when I am texting someone and I slightly turn my iPhone to the side; as the screen changes to landscape mode, the entire text window changes to the handwriting interface.
My kids love this feature but I’m not really a fan, especially when I have things to do. Here’s how to turn that off.
Next time you are texting and this happens, tap the keyboard image (bottom right corner) and your phone will remember that you prefer to type rather than to handwrite. Now even when your phone changes to landscape mode, the typing feature is still the default setting and you won’t switch into handwriting mode.
If you want to go back to the handwriting option, tap the handwriting icon at the bottom right of the keyboard (when you are in landscape mode) and the phone will take you back to that default setting.
