Tuesday Tip: Watch TV From Anywhere

Cropped shot of a young african american couple watching television at homeIf saving money is one of your 2023 resolutions, then ditching cable and using a streaming TV service could be one way to get started. Most people are familiar with Netflix and Hulu and the myriad other streaming services, but they require you to spend time deciding on what to watch. Sometimes you may want to channel surf, and let “what’s on” determine your entertainment instead of stressing over endless options.

Enter YouTube TV. We ditched cable a few years ago and migrated to Youtube TV. The service streams much like cable and includes plenty of channels that we actually want to watch. When you travel, you can easily log in, watch your favorites and access your DVR for your recorded shows. The downsides include only 3 people can be logged in at the same time, and some local content isn’t available when you are traveling.

Overall, I’m pleased and have no plans to move back to cable anytime soon. We have plenty of channels to entertain us and the kids, and it packs up and travels with us when we leave the house.
