Tuesday Tip: Calendar Management and Scheduling Software

Microsoft Booking calendar with appointments booked on the schedule. I recently had to figure out which scheduling software service would work best for our team’s needs. I checked out Calendly, Microsoft Bookings, and Doodle, which allow you to provide your calendar availability so people can book themselves on your schedule. This eliminates back-and-forth emails to schedule events and meetings. Our Microsoft 365 E3 and Business Premium license includes Microsoft Bookings, so I chose that.

One benefit of Microsoft Bookings is that Outlook and Microsoft Teams are integrated as they’re all Microsoft products. Here are some tips to get the most value out of Microsoft Bookings:

  • optimize your calendar by setting up business hours
  • block off time you are busy
  • create specific meeting types and times
  • set up a shared booking calendar for a team
  • set up email and SMS reminders for an upcoming meeting for you and the person who booked
  • add your company logo and customize the colors that appear on your Bookings webpage

Microsoft Bookings fits our needs as an organization without the need for additional subscriptions. Try Microsoft Bookings and provide your availability with a single click!
