I don’t know about you, but I didn’t use Siri’s voice commands when she first made her debut. I place the blame squarely on Siri. She didn’t understand my delightful southern accent and got all my contact names wrong. Over time, I had to train her to understand me, but it turned out to be very easy.
Say “Hey Siri, learn how to pronounce (name).” Siri will confirm the name of your contact, have you pronounce it and give you pronunciation options on your screen. Listen to the options and then choose the one that is closest to the correct pronunciation. With that, she’ll now pronounce it the right way going forward. Voila! You are all set.
