A Common Sense Approach to Technology

SITUATION

A general contractor that build a wide range of commercial, retail and office/warehouse projects for many regional and national companies in over 40 states needed help with their IT. While they are a leader in their industry, they will quickly say that managing their IT is something they would prefer to leave to the experts in that field. When they started having issues with their previous IT vendor, their CEO was introduced to Network 1.

SOLUTION

“I appreciated Network 1’s common sense approach. When we started working with them, I was impressed by how organized they were and how smoothly the implementation went. I just stayed out of the way and let them do their thing,” said their CEO. Network 1 started off by evaluating their current systems to see what they needed in a managed service provider. He also appreciates that they have a dedicated team that responds quickly when needed. “Our previous provider had a lot of turnover, so we were always educating them on our history and needs. I love that I no longer hear complaints about accessibility from my team,” the CEO said.

When COVID-19 hit, he was not sure his company would be able to move to a remote model since they had never worked that way before. Once the decision was made, Network 1 had them set up and completely remote within two weeks. “I didn’t believe they could make it happen so quickly, and they did it seamlessly,” he said.

RESULTS

The construction company is happy to have their network, security and systems humming along with little interruptions. After recently replacing their aging servers, which Network 1 identified as a need in their first meeting, their CEO is looking forward to living in maintenance mode for a while. ”I feel comfortable knowing they are looking over my systems. With them in charge, I don’t have to worry and can focus on my business of building buildings instead,” he said.
