Tuesday Tip: Travel the World with Radio.Garden

Do you love to travel? Do you also love music? Have I got a site for you!

Radio.Garden allows you to listen to more than 30,000 live radio broadcasts worldwide. Simply spin the globe and you will see thousands of green dots, each of which indicates a radio station broadcasting from that location. As you discover stations you enjoy, you can save them as favorites so you can easily find them in the future.

Are you a K-Pop fan that wants to listen to more than BTS? Check out Aewen Radio in Seoul. Enjoy offbeat British gameshows? Listen to BBC Radio 4. Trying to learn Spanish? Why not listen to COPE Madrid out of Spain.

Launched in 2016, Radio.Garden was originally commissioned as a temporary project by the Netherlands Institute of Sound and Vision as part of research looking at how radio has fostered “transnational encounters.” Now, it is simply a great way to expand your musical knowledge, news access and sports coverage.

You can download the app from the Google or Apple Store or simply go to their website. Let us know what you discover, and which stations are your favorites.
