Are you tired of the usual recommendations from sites like TripAdvisor or Yelp to find places to visit in different cities? San Pellegrino, the beverage brand, has created a map app called Delightways that offers a unique twist. They’ve pulled together thousands of popular local attractions in 10 cities and launched this interactive app so users can experience the Italian lifestyle. “[It’s] not about the destination, it’s about the moments of joy you discover along the way,” said Tony Vizioli, the marketing manager for San Pellegrino and other Italian brands owned by Nestlé Waters.
Once you choose the city, Delightways will create a custom path to your destination that features special spots on the route. It will point out restaurants, food trucks, shops, architecture, parks, museums and bars, to name a few. In a recent interview with Adweek Vizioli states “It’s anything from secret garden waterfalls to the best donuts on the Lower East Side.”
For instance, if you want to do a food tour of Atlanta, you would simply type in your starting and ending points or choose to let Delightways surprise you. The app does the rest! A route is created with locations to stop at along the way. You can swipe to the right to move to the next stop on your path, and make the path shorter or longer and add spots to a list of your favorites as well.
Currently the app is available for Austin, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. The company plans to add more cities soon.
Now when you’re enjoying summer treks to your regular spots, you might discover new favorites that you hadn’t yet found along the way!
