I’m not sure what your sleep prep routine is, but mine consists of about 30 minutes of social media, followed by a couple of Netflix episodes. Once that’s complete, I plug my phone in for the night and turn on Relax Melodies.
Relax Melodies is a free app for iOS and Android that allows you to create your own sleep ambiance. The app has all types of sounds ranging from river water, rain, piano, campfire, and even city traffic. You have the ability to blend sounds together and by using the mixer, you can adjust each sound to the volume you desire. Once you find a combination of sounds you thoroughly enjoy, press “save mix” to have it for further nights to come. The app also comes with a timer so that you can set how long you want the sounds to play.
I may not use Relax Melodies every night, but I have to admit that a Eucalyptus candle and an assortment of soothing sounds can go a long way if you’ve had a rough day.
